The Devil
by Demond A. Jackson
A couple of days ago an associate of mines turned out to be a selfish cutthroat. He dishonored all the time, love and sacrifice other and myself had shown him. Now don’t get me wrong he is not the first and most likely won’t be the last person I will put my faith into, whom when its all-said-and-done will betray me. Repaying my selflessness and loyalty with hatred and acts of true evil. The person I’m currently writing about, actually crossed allot of people, who still can’t believe he was a snake. The entire time he was amongst us. So much so, that I’ve been explaining to those amongst me what I’m about to share with you:
In life there will be times when we all come in direct contact with “The Devil.” People, places and things that doesn’t care about anything or anyone. Some people see the devil as a make believe character religious people talk about to scare you into doing the right thing. Losing sight of the devils of the past, the here and the now. Forgetting about the merciless terror these individuals have bestowed upon their fellow man.
Subtracting whether you believe in God and or religion. Let’s all agree that the devil should be and can be defined by the ideology, mindset and persona of those we have seen, hear about or known personally. The history of the devil goes far beyond the creation of man, a story that reveals that the devil was once and Angel one of God’s favorites who started a war in heaven over his jealousy of man. What’s so cold about this story is… The Devil turned on God, what make us beyond being betrayed by people we thought were angels yet turned out to be the Devil.
Simply put, if we look at the history of the Devil and except it as a metaphor or a story created as an expression of ‘Art imitating life.’ We should all be able to easily agree that the story of the Devil teaches us that :
If an Angel (i.e. ‘The Devil’) can turn his back and attempt to betray God.” Why should people be exempt from the devil showing his face striving to destroy you and love one’s peace and prosperity. The Devil is running so rampant in the world today that the devil is amongst us, any and everywhere we go. The Devils in your Church, work place and sometimes even in your home. The Devil can hide his face with the best mask created by God, Mask that are feminine, pretty, cute, handsome, masculine upstanding and moral. Yet in time, the Devil will rear its ugly head by way of its negative perspectives, jealousy, breeding division, selfishness and dissension amongst the masses for his or her personal reasons.
That being said, we must also except that they’re “Angels” Gods warriors, those who put their foots on the neck of the Devil, checking, exposing and destroying the Devil when it show his or her face. We have to be mindful of those who are the message and the messenger warning us about the presence of the Devil. We need to give, and show our appreciation and respect for these individuals who sacrifice themselves unconditionally and selflessly to making sure the Devil doesn’t harm us and is no longer a threat in our lives. And that respect start with us seeing the Devil for who he or she is… stop making excuses for the Devil. The Devil has an agenda and doesn’t play by any rules therefore the Devil intends on causing you harm by any means necessary. But you will always have Angels around you warning you and advising you that he or she is the Devil and how you need to deal with them accordingly.
With each year that passes by… I learn a little more about life and the struggles that are associated with living it to the fullest. Prison has made me mindful of the Devil. I see him everyday in many forms, most men in prison were possessed by the devil during their prison term. Yet prison truly is the belly of the beast it is a cesspool of evil thoughts, negativity and destruction. But you have your Angels in prison, your messengers and God’s warriors who stand firm in the name of righteousness, justice and peace. Those who get no recognition for their sacrifice, unwavering commitment and compassion. There are men and women that are fighting for the lives of those you love, because the Devil working to destroy them. But most of you aren’t helping them and supporting them as you should, which in essences fuels the Devil fire to attack harder because he or she knows that the righteous are few and far between and most likely are fighting on their own. I refuse to allow those I care for to walk blind not being conscious of the Devil and the War we are fighting in this day and age. Therefore, this post is knowledge that makes you responsible and accountable with regard to lacking to fight or support and appreciate those who do fight the Devil for the betterment of us and our self being.
Peace and Prosperity Love one’s…and never forget.
“The Devil is a Liar.”
