Today the Senate in a Bi-partisan effort proposed “The Sentencing Reform and Corrections ACT 2015”, this bill is the one we’ve all been waiting for, basically no one in congress wanted to be out shined when it came to acting on justice reform this year. Therefore what has happen is; republican and democrats bills prior to SRACA, such as the SAFE ACT, SMART ACT and FAIR SENTENCING ACT have all been consolidated with minor tweaks and twerks to make up the SRACA. This way both parties are acknowledge for correcting the federal injustices in sentence vs. one party over the other. This bill will pass and will help thousands of federal inmates receive lower sentences. Reason being is Obama has visited prisons this year and as clearly expressed his position that our system needs to be overhaul, the nail in the coffin was house speaker Boehner’s resignation and the Popes visit to a Philadelphia prison and his speech about redemption and second chances. The republican our religious advocates and to ignore the Pope, his compassion and consideration for America’s incarcerated would make the republican party appear as hypocrites. Simply put the Pope has visited a correctional facility to speak to the American incarcerated, while majority of our congressman have not. Yet they are legislating laws that confine the people. What would Jesus say about that? If I was a betting man he would tell every congressman with a seat on the day they would vote a crime into law “He who be without sin cast the first stone.” To all of you who have a love one who has been unjustly sentence, you can rest a little bit easier now because hope is on the way. My prediction is congress will try and pass this bill before the end of the year and hopefully the bill will kick in on January 1, 2016. Stay tune Love you all Smile!!! A change is finally coming… but the fight is not over.
I'm the son of an African American queen, born and raised in Los Angeles California, where I was groomed in its infectious gang culture. For the past decade and half, the federal Bureau of Prison has been a institution of self-education, self-evaluation and the reason I now possess knowledge of self. That being so, I now strive to expose the solution to the problems that our plaguing our communities, America's youth and this country as a whole. There's a saying: "There's nothing new up under the sun." Simply put, if there's one thing in this universe existence, that has seen all thing that mankind has done or not done, it is the sun. That means the moral dissension that taking place currently is nothing new. Historian have written about times where the moral fabric of a nation was so tattered where the only solution for change was war a destruction. This country was built and establish to be the nation it is today. By the disenfranchised, those who were being oppressed by the Queen and her fellow Aristocrats. Therefore if this country is to change once again for the better. It will begin and must begin with the actions and the voice of the disenfranchised i.e, America's minorities, poor and it's third class citizen the American Ex-felon. That being said I'm committed to "WRITING MY WRONGS..." and sewing seed of knowledge and truth that will blossom into peace, prosperity and positive change
