It is my pleasure to be on convictsoapbox.com. I want you to understand me as a person, and how I got to where I am today. I was traumatized in 1990. I never sought proper help, so my problems grew like cancer. As I got older, I turned to drugs to ease my mind. My life only got harder and now I am sitting in prison, Hoping and praying for laws to change for non-violent offenders, so I can get back to my life as a husband and a father. I want to stress to parents, as a parent. Talk to your children!! Get their perspective on movies, T.V. shows, and different situations. That way you can get into their head and see how they think and feel. By doing that you can explain to them the truth and logic of these things to make sure they have a proper understanding and are not mislead or getting the wrong idea. While doing this you’ll develop a friendship with your children. If you hear your child say something that you disagree with, don’t get mad. Just understand that they don’t understand. The best way to teach them is with love, laughter, and encouragement. Have you ever had a teacher or a boss that you didn’t like? or was hard or mean? think about that teacher or boss, then compare them to you favorite teacher or boss. Big difference in their attitudes and behaviors. And the results. So please for the sake of our next generation, be your children’s favorite teacher or favorite boss! I don’t ever want to have to give your child a care package. That’s all I have for you today. Thank you for reading this and keep your eyes open for more. Stay safe and God Bless!
