Laws and Initiative 2014-
Was a breakthrough year for federal reform. Obama, pardon and commutated more sentences and hopefully he’ll do many many more this year. There were allot of bipartisan sentencing reform bills introduce in both Houses of Congress, more senators on both side of the aisle joined the fight for better sentencing policies.
There are array of new advocates in the fight for reform, faith base groups, prosecutors, judges and the Justice departments Attorney General. The demand for change is at it’s apex since my incarceration there isn’t been a time where people are really letting our government know that they want change for a smarter and fairer justice system.
As we the people establish the foundation for what we expect in 2015, as optimistic as many are inside and out with regards to the new congress coming into power. Convict Soap Box is committed to being on the front line in this battle and the venue where we those who want to see that change manifested unite and make our voices heard from Crenshaw to the White House lawn. Let us guarantee that bills such as the Smart Sentencing Act and the Justice Safety Valve get passed. Let us make sure that bills are introduced and passed that will amend the mandatory minimum sentences for firearm offense that are stacked.
It is time, Congress must re-impliment parole, change the B.O.P good time credit and extend half-way time for those who are re-entering. These changes will encourage and reward the incarcerated for their ability to rehabilitate themselves and maintain clear institutional conduct.
Furthermore we the tax paying citizen felon or not must unite our voices and our grievances with regards to our tax dollars being wasted. The cost of incarceration for non-violent drug offenders far out weigh the cost to put these same individuals through college for 4 years. America has lost it understanding for plain ole common sense. the war on drug was a failure and therefore those who were victimized by it’s enactment deserve a second chance and we the people need to see to it that they get that second chance.
I can never say it enough “God helps those who help themselves.” That being so, as long as we sit back and do nothing, why should and can’t expect Congress, Obama or the Justice department to do something. Action equates to reaction.
Simply put it is only through our own action will we see a desired reaction. CSB, is writing our wrongs, sharing our American Perspective, putting our money, time, consideration where our mouths are, standing and fighting for what we believe in and we’re praying you do the same.

I consider myself a literary artist, be it poetry, editorials, composition, music or screenplays "My pen...is my power and words are my weapons..."
I'm the son of an African American queen, born and raised in Los Angeles California, where I was groomed in its infectious gang culture. For the past decade and half, the federal Bureau of Prison has been a institution of self-education, self-evaluation and the reason I now possess knowledge of self. That being so, I now strive to expose the solution to the problems that our plaguing our communities, America's youth and this country as a whole. There's a saying: "There's nothing new up under the sun." Simply put, if there's one thing in this universe existence, that has seen all thing that mankind has done or not done, it is the sun. That means the moral dissension that taking place currently is nothing new. Historian have written about times where the moral fabric of a nation was so tattered where the only solution for change was war a destruction. This country was built and establish to be the nation it is today. By the disenfranchised, those who were being oppressed by the Queen and her fellow Aristocrats. Therefore if this country is to change once again for the better. It will begin and must begin with the actions and the voice of the disenfranchised i.e, America's minorities, poor and it's third class citizen the American Ex-felon. That being said I'm committed to "WRITING MY WRONGS..." and sewing seed of knowledge and truth that will blossom into peace, prosperity and positive change
